Question 1

What is AesthFill and how does it work?

Accepted Answer

AesthFill is a poly-D,L-lactic acid (PDLLA) collagen biostimulator. It is injected into the deep dermis or subcutaneous layer where it gradually stimulates the body's own collagen production. Results develop over several weeks and can last up to around two years, depending on the individual and treatment area.

Question 2

In which tissue layer are dermal fillers placed?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the product and the area being treated. Hyaluronic-acid fillers are typically placed in the mid-to-deep dermis for fine lines, and deeper on the supraperiosteal plane (on the bone) for structural volume such as cheeks and jawline. Lip filler is placed in the submucosa and along the vermillion border.

Question 3

What are the contraindications to dermal fillers?

Accepted Answer

Dermal fillers are generally avoided during pregnancy and breastfeeding, in the presence of active skin infection or inflammation at the site, with known hypersensitivity to the product, and require caution with certain autoimmune conditions or bleeding tendencies. A medical consultation is required before any treatment to assess suitability.

Question 4

How long do lip fillers last?

Accepted Answer

Hyaluronic-acid lip filler typically lasts about 6 to 12 months, varying with the specific product used and the patient's metabolism. Maintenance sessions can preserve the result.

Question 5

What is the recovery time and downtime after fillers?

Accepted Answer

Downtime is minimal. Mild swelling, tenderness or bruising may occur for 24 to 72 hours. We advise avoiding intense heat, strenuous exercise and alcohol for 24 to 48 hours after treatment.

Question 6

Are treatments performed by a doctor?

Accepted Answer

Yes. All treatments at Beauty Spot Clinic are administered and supervised by Dr. Ibrahim Omari, an aesthetic and dermatological physician, following a personal diagnosis-first consultation.

Question 7

How does AesthFill restore volume loss compared to traditional dermal fillers?

Accepted Answer

Unlike traditional hyaluronic-acid fillers that mechanically fill space, AesthFill uses poly-D,L-lactic acid (PDLLA) to stimulate the tissue's own collagen production, giving a gradual, natural volumising effect that can last up to around two years.
